Review of Toshiba Satellite

Toshiba Satellite is here to give you 2-in-1 experience if you always wanted to buy a new laptop and a tablet. Toshiba decided to think this through and give you exactly what you want. This new Toshiba Satellite Radius is the biggest Yoga clone you’ve ever seen. This company says that the Radius is one of those premium multi-laptop. This means you can rotate the screen full 360 degrees around the hinge. This great feature for this laptop/tablet gives it very good viewing modes. The main question here is whether you like a tablet that big to be around you or not. It weighs 5 pounds though.

Display:

Toshiba Satellite feels little bit scary when you rotate it 360 degrees and enter into the tablet mode. Maybe this is just me because I’m always clumsy when it comes to this kind of technology. The thin lid felt like breaking my first time when I rotate it to get into the tablet mode. One thing that I didn’t like was the screen doesn’t lie flat with its back when you switch to tablet mode.

Aside from this the size of this screen and the display as a whole are perfect. You get 15.6-inch glossy display with touchscreen feature that will give you full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The display is very responsive, vibrant and bright. What amazed me the most is that the HD video plays very smoothly and the images and text look very crisp.

Hardware

We are reviewing the Intel Core i7 Processor model. Under the hood there is a powerful machine with its fast processor. The i7 processor has some help from the 8GB DDR3 memory. The internal hard drive is 1TB spinning at 5400 RPM. This tablet is highly dependable on its integrated graphic. It comes with three USB 3.0 ports, an SD card for external memory, HDMI port  and the standard headphone/microphone jack.

Performance:

From the model we tested, we can say this model gave some middle results. We are not going to show you numbers on benchmark performance texts, but we can say that this model came slower than some of the other tested models before. We are not saying you are going to get the job done on this computer/laptop but we kind of expected something more to come out of it.

The pros for this laptop are that it has great battery life, looks expensive and glossy and comes packed with highly responsive touchscreen, trackpad and keyboard. The negative side of this laptop is that it gave middle ranked performance and it’s not so great when you use it as a laptop.
